Shop the Season
Inspired by traditional Eastern European folk embroidery, this original cross stitch pattern depicts Mokosh, the Slavic goddess of fertility, women's crafts, and the earth.
Designed by Sasha Botanica, the pattern portrays Mokosh holding two flowers, with floral motifs adorning her dress—symbols of her deep connection to the land, growth, and abundance. In Slavic tradition, Mokosh was often associated with the fertile earth itself and was sometimes known as "Mother Moist Earth," a sacred embodiment of the life-giving forces of nature. As a protector of women, fields, harvests, and the cycles of renewal, her image reflects the enduring relationship between people and the living landscape that sustains them.
Drawing inspiration from historic folk embroidery motifs, this design combines geometric forms and botanical symbolism to create a piece that feels both timeless and meaningful. Whether stitched as a celebration of Slavic heritage, a connection to ancestral traditions, or simply for the love of folk art, this pattern offers a meditative and rewarding project for cross stitch enthusiasts.

Seasonal plant distillations
Each 2oz bottle of hydrosol is a small-batch distillation of fresh plant material—wildcrafted or garden-grown in the Hudson Valley and steam-distilled by Sasha in her copper alembic. These aromatic waters capture the subtle, living essence of the plants in their peak moment—when scent, spirit, and medicine are most vibrant.
Hydrosols are gently fragrant, water-based extracts that carry the energetic and therapeutic properties of the plant in a soft, skin-safe form. They can be used as facial toners, aura mists, ritual tools, or simple moments of sensory delight.
This is a deeply seasonal and intuitive process—distillations vary depending on what’s growing, blooming, and calling to be harvested. Choose from the dropdown menu to see what’s currently available.
Gathered along the shore on the week of the summer solstice, this elixir carries the essence of wild beach rose. Fresh petals are foraged and infused with organic cane alcohol, spring water, local honey, and vegetable glycerine to create an elixir that is both heart-opening and warming.
Sweet, floral, and full of summer’s radiance, Rose Elixir makes a beautiful daily tonic or thoughtful gift. Sip a few drops when you need comfort in the cold months, a reminder of sunlight and bloom carried through the dark of the year.

Sculpting the Sacred: Cycle Wisdom & Creative Ritual with Sasha Botanica & Diana Wassef
Saturday, August 8, 2026 | 2–5 PM
Heartsong Sanctuary | High Falls, NY
Join us for an afternoon of creativity and connection with the living earth.
We will begin by gathering in circle to explore cyclical awareness and the ways our bodies move through seasons of activity, rest, creativity, and renewal. Through guided discussion and reflection, we'll consider how paying attention to these rhythms can support greater self-awareness and well-being.
This gathering also includes the option to visit a natural clay deposit on the land at Heartsong Sanctuary. Those who wish are invited to cover their skin with the mineral-rich clay before rinsing off in the sanctuary's beautiful spring-fed pond.
Our bodies are made from many of the same minerals found in the earth beneath our feet. Working directly with clay offers a grounding sensory experience while natural clay has long been valued for helping draw excess oil and impurities from the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and softened.
Afterward, we'll gather beneath the outdoor pavilion to sculpt our own goddess figurines from clay. No artistic experience is necessary—this is an intuitive and accessible creative practice open to everyone. If you’d prefer not to participate in the body clay experience, the Goddess Temple will be open throughout the afternoon as a quiet space for meditation or reflection.
Whether you choose to immerse yourself in clay and water, sculpt with your hands, or simply enjoy the sanctuary, this afternoon offers an opportunity to slow down, cool off, and reconnect with yourself, your creativity, and the natural world.
Please bring: a towel, a bathing suit (or clothing you don't mind getting muddy), water, and anything else that will help you feel comfortable outdoors.
All materials provided. No sculpting experience necessary. Finished pieces will be fired at a later date and available for pickup once complete.

Roses were said to grow wherever love left its imprint on the earth.
One of the plants with the richest folklore in the world, stories of rose weave together love, beauty, grief, secrecy, and the soul. For centuries, roses have been woven into celebrations of love, seasonal festivals, and healing traditions. Their fragrant blossoms have adorned altars, infused medicines, and carried the language of devotion across generations.
For a few fleeting weeks each year, these beautiful blooms return! This year I harvested enough beach rose petals from Cape Cod to make a Rose Elixir, Rose Cream and Rose Jelly:
Rose Cream (2oz jar):
A deeply moisturizing botanical cream infused with the essence of wild summer roses. Foraged Rosa rugosa petals and fresh rose hydrosol are blended with organic jojoba oil, rich shea butter, and local beeswax to create a nourishing cream that softens and replenishes dry skin. Light yet deeply restorative, it leaves the skin feeling supple, hydrated, and delicately scented with the soft fragrance of fresh roses. Ideal as a daily facial moisturizer or an all-purpose cream for hands and body.
Ingredients: organic jojoba oil, organic shea butter, foraged Rosa rugosa + multiflora rose hydrosol, oraged Rosa rugosa petals, local beeswax
Rose Elixir (2oz bottle):
A celebration of summer's most beloved flower, this nourishing elixir is handcrafted with freshly foraged Rosa rugosa petals and slowly extracted to capture their vibrant character. Blended with raw local honey and vegetable glycerine for a smooth, lightly sweet finish, it may be enjoyed by the dropperful on its own or added to sparkling water, tea, or botanical cocktails. Roses have long been cherished in herbal traditions for supporting the heart, uplifting the spirit, and offering gentle comfort during times of stress and transition.
Ingredients: Foraged Rosa rugosa petals, organic cane alcohol, spring water, organic vegetable glycerine, local raw honey
Rose Jelly (4oz jar):
Made with hand-foraged Rosa rugosa petals gathered at the height of summer, this fragrant jelly captures the fleeting sweetness of the rose harvest. Delicately floral, it pairs beautifully with fresh bread, pastries, cheese boards, yogurt, or stirred into tea. Crafted in small batches, each jar preserves a brief moment of the season to enjoy throughout the year.
Ingredients: Foraged Rosa rugosa petals, organic lemon juice, organic cane sugar, pectin
