Body As Moon Session 4: The Waning Moon - Herbal Spay Day

$65.00

June 14th: 1pm-4pm in High Falls NY

The final gathering of the Body as Moon series centers on the luteal phase and the waning energies of the cycle, a time of descent and discernment. After the outward reach of ovulation, energy begins to withdraw from the external world and return toward the inner landscape. Discernment sharpens, sensitivity increases, and attention is drawn to what is no longer aligned.

In the language of the inner seasons, this is Inner Autumn, and across a lifetime it mirrors perimenopause, the phase when the body begins its long turn inward. Sensitivity rises, tolerance for the inauthentic narrows, and what has been suppressed or ignored begins to surface. Both the luteal phase and perimenopause ask the same thing: to stop, to listen, and to let what is no longer serving begin to release.

We are honored to welcome Kris Geerken to join us in conversation around the stages of menopause, aging, and ageism. Together we will move through the stages of menopause, from the heightened sensitivity of perimenopause, through the deep inward turn of menopause itself, into the clarity and authority of post-menopause. We will explore what it means to enter elderhood in a culture that fears it, and how reclaiming this passage restores dignity, power, and voice to the aging body.

To close our series, we gather on the land at Hearsong Sanctuary for a hands-on herbal self care session, blending a rose clay face mask and taking part in a communal copper distillation, working with aromatic plants to create a fragrant hydrosol. There will also be the option for participants to experience an individual yoni steam session in the Goddess Temple on the property.

Each participant will leave with their own 2oz bottle of hydrosol and a 2oz jar of rose clay mask, a small offering to continue the ritual of tending, listening, and caring for the body beyond our time together.
